Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 16, 2026

Boxy ("the app," "we," "us," or "the Boxy team") is a mental wellness companion app. We built Boxy to be a calm, private space — and we treat your privacy with the same care. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it's stored, and the choices you have.

The short version

Information stored on your device

When you use Boxy, the following information is created and saved in the app's local storage on your iPhone:

This information stays on your device. If you delete the app, this locally stored information is deleted with it and cannot be recovered by us. The app does not currently sync your data to a cloud service or across devices.

Subscriptions and purchases

Boxy offers an auto-renewing subscription with a free trial, processed by Apple through your App Store account. Apple handles all payment information under its own privacy policy — we never receive or store your payment details.

To manage subscriptions and confirm your access, we use RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription-management service. RevenueCat processes a record of your purchase (your purchase history) on our behalf to validate your subscription, prevent fraud, and provide us with aggregate analytics about subscriptions. Boxy uses RevenueCat's anonymous identifiers, so this purchase information is not linked to your name or contact information, and it is not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising. You can review RevenueCat's privacy practices at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy/.

Analytics and diagnostics

Boxy does not use third-party analytics SDKs, and we do not track your activity across other apps or websites. We may receive anonymous, aggregated crash and usage reports through Apple if you have opted in to sharing diagnostics with developers in your iOS settings; this is controlled by Apple and your device settings, and it does not include the content of your entries.

What we never do

Your wellbeing data deserves extra care

Boxy is a self-guided wellness app, not a medical service, and the information you enter is not a medical record. Even so, we recognize that reflections about your mood and worries are sensitive, which is why Boxy is designed to keep them on your device rather than on our servers.

Children's privacy

Boxy is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at privacy@boxy.health and we will address it.

Your choices and rights

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes — for example, if a future version of Boxy adds cloud backup — we will update this page, revise the effective date above, and note the change in the app.
